In March, we will offer a weaving class, taught by local fiber artist Sharman French. Watch for announcements and sign-ups coming soon.
In April, we are planning: “Vision Zero: the Mural Movement”. In an attempt to promote safe and slow streets in PB and in honor of the two individuals who recently died on our streets, we will guide the creation and installation of traffic calming murals around PB. This class will instruct on how to design, paint and install a mural on a local electric box for public art messaging.
We had a great time hosting students for “Cupid’s Crafters“, a valentine-making event on February 6th! Thanks to all the parents and volunteers that made this event possible!

The PB Arts Center Community Mural Project

Local artist Hilary Dufour generously volunteered her artistic talents to the PB Arts Center! Her efforts enabled our community to transform a simple shipping container into a vibrant symbol of creativity. The finished mural is now installed in the back parking lot of the PB Arts Center. Roll your bicycle or stroll by to enjoy this colorful celebration of community spirit—created by neighbors, for neighbors!
City Councilmember Joe LaCava stopped by to admire the artwork, lend a hand with the painting and offer words of support for the project. Read more about the event.

This project would not have been possible— or nearly as fun—without you!
Stay tuned for more opportunities to get involved by subscribing to our monthly newsletter and following us on Instagram. Join us, and together we’ll continue building a vibrant, creative, and connected arts community in Pacific Beach.
